Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. unveils official diversity policy

8, 2010 (Arlington, VA) Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. is proud to
announce and share the new diversity policy that was voted on by the
National Administrative Council. It reads as follows:

National Diversity Policy
I.
Non-discrimination clause
a . It is the policy of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. to provide equal membership
opportunity to all female-identified persons regardless of age, citizenship status,
color, creed, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, marital status, national
origin, parental status, physical/emotional/developmental/mental ability, race,
religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, status as a disabled veteran
and/or status with regard to public assistance.
b . The sorority will not tolerate or condone any form of abusive or discriminatory
behavior on the part of its Members, based on age, citizenship status, color, creed,
ethnicity, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, parental
status, physical/emotional/developmental/mental ability, race, religion, sexual
orientation, socio-economic status, status as a disabled veteran and/or status with
regard to public assistance.
II.
Diversity
a . Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. is a Latina founded, 501 c 7, national sorority who
aims to achieve professional development, academic excellence, and graduation
of all its members; an organization dedicated to community service to their local
university communities with an emphasis on the Hispanic/Latino population.
b . In fulfillment of Kappa Delta Chi's mission statement, any woman regardless of
race/ethnicity can be dedicated to serving the Latina/o community.
c . To be effective in accomplishing the mission, the organization promotes an
awareness and understanding of Latina/o community history, issues and events.
