The purpose of the Kappa Delta Chi National Foundation is to financially support programs that exclusively support educational and leadership purposes for minority women. The Foundation was created in 2000 by Founder, Irene Montoya and the National Alumni Association Board of Directors. Undergraduate chapters of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. hold annual fundraising events that fund the majority of the projects that the National Foundation sponsors. The National Foundation receives, manages, and distributes scholarship and grants for the purpose of funding educational and leadership development programs for the communities we support. Since its beginning, the Kappa Delta Chi National Foundation Scholarship Fund has given over $37,000 in education awards. In 2004, The National Foundation added the Irene Montoya Scholarships to include members pursuing their undergraduate and graduate careers. The National Foundation is supported by tax-deductible charitable gifts from loyal members, corporations, and friends of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. |
