THE CITY OF RENO, NEVADA CELEBRATED KDCHI DAY FEBRUARY 27

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. is proud to congratulate and announce that the city of Reno, Nevada celebrated KDChi day this weekend.

In recognition of the KDChi’s Alpha Eta Chapter at the University of Nevada, Reno, for their outstanding work and contributions to the community, Saturday, February 27, 2016 was proclaimed “Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Day” in Reno, Nevada.

The City of Reno’s Vice Mayor Oscar Delgado said "University leadership is an integral part of our community and I commend the women of Kappa Delta Chi for their selfless service to our City", he continued, "I look forward to presenting their proclamation at their Western US Regional Conference."

KDChi’s National President Melanie Rodriguez shared her excitement upon hearing the news, “We are overjoyed that the City of Reno has acknowledged the hard work and dedication of our Alpha Eta Chapter.  The service that this chapter provides is a great example of what it means to be a KDChi, empowering others by giving back to the local community.”

The KDChi’s Alpha Eta Chapter was founded on December 19, 2004 and has grown to be an organization with a reputation of service and impact. The chapter is hosting their Regional Conference April 26-April 27 at the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
The Chapter President, Alexis Lua, will receive the proclamation on behalf of the sorority and said it will be a day of celebration. "Saturday will be a very special day for our sisterhood and I am happy we will be sharing this moment with more than 60 sisters at our regional conference."
