Ramirez is an acclaimed author of "Dulcified: Sweetened by the Education of Life" and is currently assigned to the United States Department of Education in the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education as the national director of the Office of Migrant Education in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Ramírez is also a private speaker, consultant, and educator.

Her primary focus in her private business is to promote educational leadership and the building of strong individuals and families through the convergence of different avenues that include family values and beliefs, cultural competency, education, resiliency, spirituality and service to others.

Her presentations have been made nationwide to a variety of audiences that include: universities, school board associations, teacher organizations, school districts, and school campuses, just to name a few.  She will have her book available for purchase and will be signing them as well.  We are very excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to see her in SEATTLE!

Dr. Ramírez joined Kappa Delta Chi Alpha Chapter Spring 1989 under the guidance and direction of then New Member Educators/ Founders Cynthia Garza and Nellie Flores. She went on to proudly serve as KDChi’s first National President when KDChi’s expansion was officially initiated.  She is currently a member of Washington DC's Graduate Chapter and lives in Alexandria with her husband Mike, two kids Kaitlyn and Toby and their dog Coco.

KDChi is excited to have her join us in Seattle and is looking forward to hearing about her story and the advice she has to share with our sisterhood. We celebrate being your sister and appreciate that her entire life has been about giving back to the community she holds dear to her heart.
