Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. Announces Spring 2012 Expansion

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. Announces Spring 2012 Expansion to New York, Illinois and welcomes new chapters.

(Lubbock, TX) Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc. is proud of our sisters who are making a difference in their communities and are working diligently to add branches to our family tree. KDChi is pleased to announce the following Colonies as of Spring 2012:

*Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York (pictured above)

*Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas

*University of Texas in El Paso, Texas

*Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois (pictured below)

*University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois

The colony members are sisters and function just like any other chapter. They will receive their Greek ordered letter once they've fully initiated their Alpha class. Their dedication to service on their campus and communities are proof positive that they are an amazingly strong addition to our KDChi family. We are so proud of them and welcome these five colonies with open arms.

KDChi Clarkson Charter Sister and Psychology Major Brianna Beltran said KDChi furthers her growth as a student leader and as a community servant. "I’ve learned that I am more capable of handling stressful situations, that I'm also better at time management and the charter process has allowed me to open up and express more about myself than I used to be comfortable sharing." She adds that while the charter process was challenging and stressful, it has given the group motivation to be more cohesive and better leaders for the University and surrounding communities. They already have a slew of events planned for the semester including a Senior Prom for the local elederly residents focused around the theme: Hollywood Nights.

In addition to our colonies, KDChi is pleased to announce the newest lettered chapters:

*Alpha Phi    California State University in Monterey Bay, California

*Alpha Chi    University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah (1st Latino Greek Org in state)

*Alpha Psi    Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon

Our congratulations and gratitude to the dedicated expansion team made up of Vice President of Expansion and Tau Chapter alumna Veronica Lucena and National External Recruitment Officer and Alpha Sigma Alumna, Catherine Galvis along with their Charter Member Educator assistants.
