Join us on February 15 for #ParksByYou Day to plant trees, grasses and wetland natives at 9303 Forest Dale St., Houston, Texas 77078. Volunteers will be divided into groups and work with Conservation staff on-site, who will provide guidance on restoring the riparian area along the Halls Bayou Greenway trail system. Halls Bayou Greenway is home to a scenic detention basin, and hundreds of acres of grasslands, forest, and wetlands designed for flood mitigation. With your help, Houston Parks Board is transforming Houston's bayous with hike-and-bike trails connecting surrounding communities to parks and nature.
