CONVENTION 2008

Convention 2008 will be held in Downtown Houston, Texas July 24-27, 2008, and is hosted by the Theta Chapter of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. in conjunction with the Gulf Coast Alumnae Association. This unique convention will bring together over 300 of the most diverse and brightest group of young women in this country for a weekend of professional and educational growth.

HOUSTON
The 17th National Leadership Convention will be held in Houston , Texas at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown, Houston . As the 4th largest city in the U.S. , Houston is a leader in business, entertainment, the arts, and more. From professional sports to outdoor fun to an out-of-this-world space experience and incredible dining - it's all here!

WORKSHOPS
The conference will feature a variety of workshops intended to engage the conference participants in educational and professional experiences.

HOSTS
The hosts of the 2008 convention are the Theta Chapter of the University of Houston and the Gulf Coast Alumnae Association. The Theta Chapter has a long tradition of excellence and leadership in the Houston area, and it boasts some of the most accomplished and successful alumni of Kappa Delta Chi, including State of Texas Representative, Ana Hernandez. The Theta Chapter is also proud to have Dr. Laura Murillo, President of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as an Honorary member.

BABY SHOWER
Kappa Delta Chi Sisters, we have reached another first milestone, Astrid Lertora Novak, Zeta Chapter, Iota Class gave birth to TRIPLETS March 31, 2008. Since the National Leadership Convention is in Houston we are asking sisters from around the country to donate much needed items to the Novak family. If each chapter could donate any of the items below the Novak family would be greatly appreciative.
